Seamstress #3

Meet one of the seamstresses who worked on our first batch of Rice Love bags. She worked hard, in good working conditions, at a good wage, and did a great job. On February 7, 2015, we had a celebration for all of our seamstresses. We brought in a catered lunch for them and their families. We decided to send them all home with an extra 20 kilos of rice. She was incredibly grateful! Thank you for buying a bag, and feeding her family. -Corbin Thomander, Co-Founder This gift was made possible by your purchase of item #s:000601, 000602, 000603, 000604, 000605, 000606,...

Pulla's Maid

On February 4, 2015, we made our first rice donation to a family! I had just arrived in India two days earlier. My business partner, Coney Pulla, was staying with his parents in Delhi for the final days of their service mission there before returning home to Hyderabad. So, I planned to stay with them. It was my first time to India, and I thought it wouldn't be too hard to make it to their flat on my own. That is a whole other story!!! In India, it is common to have a maid clean your home a few days...

Abandoned Women's Home

On February 3, 2015, we made our first donation of 240 kilos of rice to a home of 50 abandoned women. After putting so much time into launching Rice Love, it was so exciting to finally be giving! Our hearts broke seeing their humble circumstances. They loved having some visitors. We loved meeting them. It made us very happy to know that a home like this existed to...
