Nepal Earthquake Family #00040

When the 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit Nepal on April 25, 2015, we knew had to help. It killed over 9,000 people and injured more than 23,000. Hundreds of thousands of people were made homeless with entire villages flattened, across many districts of the country. Thousands were left without food and water.
We diverted our rice giving from India to Nepal for the month of May. Our friend Sirapaa, bought the rice, hiked into the mountains and gave to the families who needed it the most. Due to the circumstances, were not able to collect the names of the families we gave to. But, here are their photos. Sirapaa said they all cried when they received the rice. She cried with them. We wish them the best as they continue to re-build their homes and their lives.
